Job Title: Water Project Engineer
Description:
* We are seeking an experienced Site Project Engineer to join our team.
* This role plays a vital part in maintaining operational excellence through proactive site management, technical reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
* The successful candidate will support the Design and Delivery of water treatment plant upgrades, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinating technical and construction activities.
* Key responsibilities include interpreting Uisce ireann specifications, supporting project delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing technical documentation, and overseeing quality control.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the water/utilities sector, a strong understanding of site engineering and surveying, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office applications, familiarity with Uisce ireann standards, and a full driving licence are also required.
Responsibilities:
* Interpret Uisce ireann specifications and assist the design team in the development of practical design solutions.
* Support the delivery of multiple concurrent projects as part of a collaborative team.
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability standards.
* Prepare and review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and technical documentation.
* Monitor site progress and coordinate labour and subcontractors.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and the public.
* Oversee quality control, including FAT, SAT, ITRs, pressure testing, and commissioning.
* Provide project management support when required.
Requirements:
* Experienced in a similar role within the water/utilities sector.
* Strong understanding of site engineering, surveying, and project coordination.
* Proven ability to manage technical documentation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
* Familiarity with Uisce ireann standards and procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Full driving licence.
