Job Title: Procurement Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our organization on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mechanical components and equipment necessary for our operations.
The primary goal of this role is to ensure the availability of high-quality materials at the most cost-effective prices while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their requirements and contribute to the overall success of our business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Supplier Management:
* Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with Mechanical component suppliers.
* Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
* Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Material Sourcing:
* Source and procure equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications and production requirements.
* Evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
3. Collaboration:
* Work closely with engineering, estimating, surveying, and construction operations teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies.
* Provide input on design changes and alternatives to optimise costs.
4. Cost Negotiation:
* Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
* Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices.
5. Order Management:
* Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Track and expedite orders to meet production and project timelines.
* Resolve issues related to shortages or quality discrepancies.
6. Risk Management:
* Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Maintain awareness of market trends, geopolitical events, and other factors that may impact the supply chain.
