Dynamic Leader for Cafe Operations
The role of Assistant Cafe Manager is a pivotal position within our restaurant operations. This dynamic individual will be responsible for developing the business, motivating their team, and delivering exceptional customer care. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, have experience managing similar sized restaurants or corporate catering units, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead by example, providing constant supervision and ensuring high standards of customer service and presentation.
2. Develop and maintain effective communication with senior management, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
3. Prepare and assist with food preparation, setting up and merchandising counters, and taking full responsibility for all products from entry to exit.
4. Establish an efficient cleaning schedule, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards, and monitoring delivery of the HACCP programme.
5. Place product orders with agreed suppliers and control waste in the unit, adhering to specifications, standards, and procedures.
6. Provide ongoing staff training, motivating and developing the skills of the team, and planning an efficient work schedule for the restaurant.
Requirements
* A minimum of one year previous experience in a similar environment.
* Experience managing a similar sized restaurant/corporate catering unit.
* Training on HACCP and Food Safety.
* An advanced level of English combined with a professional and polite manner.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong desire to work with coffee.
