We are currently hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) for a well-established Nursing Home located in Co.
Galway and other locations.
Responsibilities Lead and support the care and nursing staff, including orientation, training, and ongoing development.
Supervise the admission process for new residents.
Drive change and improvement initiatives, particularly aligned with HIQA standards.
Promote innovation and leadership across all aspects of care delivery.
Participate in resident handovers and ensure clear, consistent communication among staff.
Oversee the planning and implementation of care to meet residents' holistic needs.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior nursing management role in elder care (within the last 6 years).
Post-registration management qualification.
Active registration with NMBI.
Proven leadership, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of Health Act **** and HIQA standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Additional training in gerontology is a plus.
