This Assistant Professor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Computational Engineering) will be appointed to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in the Discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering. The post holder will build on the existing educational HCI initiative in Computational Engineering and complement the existing staff in the wider Departmental and School areas of Digital Media Signal Processing, Circuits and Systems, Digital Communication, Bioengineering, Power Management and Control, as well as the emerging area of Quantum Algorithms and Communication.Increasingly the research groups in the Department and the School are interdisciplinary. In this recruitment call we are interested in growing our team in Computational Engineering in the context of AI and Deep Learning as it applies to Digital Visual Media Processing. We encourage applications from candidates with research interests within this context e.g. biomedical, automotive, entertainment and broadcast systems, quantum algorithms, biodiversity and climate monitoring.
