About this role
The Marketing Communications Manager will be a key contributor to the marketing team by ensuring that all relevant communications, CSR, and events marketing are aligned with the target customer needs and expectations. The role requires a strong understanding of FMCG marketing and campaign execution.
You will be responsible for developing our client's marketing/communications strategy to support brand marketing and communication initiatives at both B2B and B2C levels.
You will also oversee event management and communications for their sustainability, CSR, and partnership initiatives. As a key member of the marketing team, you will deliver a variety of initiatives focused on brand development, customer satisfaction, profitability, and sales.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the full marketing mix and a thorough knowledge of our business and local marketing to maximize campaign effectiveness and internal communications activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communications
* Planning and executing a communications plan supporting the ‘famous for’ categories that meet targets and stay within budget.
* Supporting sustainability, CSR, and partnership initiatives through strategic communication plans.
* Managing corporate communications, profiling, consumer PR activations, and internal communications.
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure campaign effectiveness in achieving business targets.
* Working with the Senior Marketing Manager to create and maintain an activity calendar aligned with the marketing strategy.
* Coordinating with digital specialists and external agencies on digital activities.
* Analyzing and reporting on the ROI of communication plans.
* Managing projects, both strategic and tactical, as a key marketing resource.
* Monitoring KPIs and reporting performance to stakeholders.
2. Partnerships
* Managing a calendar of activities supporting partnership initiatives, including CSR and sports/lifestyle partnerships.
* Being the primary contact for partners.
* Briefing and coordinating internal activities to support partnership efforts.
3. Sustainability
* Leading sustainability initiatives within the marketing department.
* Shaping external and internal perceptions of sustainability based on current initiatives and future plans.
4. Events
* Managing all events, including virtual, in-person, and store openings, working closely with third-party agencies.
5. Costs
* Implementing cost control measures within approved budgets.
6. General
* Supporting the development of the Annual Marketing Plan.
* Undertaking additional projects or duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
* A degree in marketing or communications.
* Marketing/Communications qualification.
* At least 5 years of marketing/communications experience managing multiple brands.
* Experience managing third-party agencies.
* Strong understanding of the full marketing mix.
* Highly creative and innovative.
* Proven project management skills and ability to multitask.
* Good understanding of brand planning and implementation.
