McGreals are recruiting a Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our vibrant team.
You'll be learning from the best, gaining hands-on experience while also working towards a credited Diploma.
Pharmacy Technician Diploma
The duration of the course is 2 years and is a combination of "on the job training" and course assignments.
This is a comprehensive course, which is delivered and managed by the Irish Pharmacy Union.
As a Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will:
Learn the ropes of dispensing and preparing prescriptions.
Support the dispensary team in preparing and supplying medications.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver top-tier service.
Keep shelves stocked, assist with dispensary ordering, stock management and inventory control.
Learn to maintain accurate patient records and prescriptions.
Provide excellent customer service to our patients with kindness, care and expert guidance.
Help prepare the monthly claim for PCRS.
The ideal candidate:
A genuine interest in pharmacy and patient care.
Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team.
Excellent communication skills as you will communicate with numerous different people everyday, from patients to doctors and also the pharmacy team.
Professional manner and treat all customers with care, empathy and respect.
Positive attitude and very well presented.
Be able to work as part of a team while also able to work on your own initiative.
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
Previous retail or healthcare experience is a plus, but not essential.
Flexibility will be required from time to time as you may be required to work from one of our other locations.

Blessington, Co Wicklow
Days per week
5 days a week between Monday and Saturday (required to work every 2nd Saturday)
