We are seeking a strategically minded and execution-focused Head of Marketing to run RKD’s marketing and communications function during an exciting phase of growth and brand evolution. This senior person will be key in shaping the future of the RKD brand, driving our market positioning, and leading the delivery of marketing programmes that support business development, and stakeholder engagement.You will operate at both strategic and tactical levels — balancing leadership and vision with hands-on delivery. You will work closely with your MD, Senior Leadership Team and Sector Leads, to define and deliver marketing that aligns to RKD’s vision, mission, values and growth strategy.You will bring our people at RKD on the marketing journey, using language that helps to share our growth ambitions and that brings key stakeholders on the journey.Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Strategy & PositioningLead and embed the ongoing development and articulation of RKD’s brand and market positioning in alignment with our global growth strategy.Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and experience across all touchpoints, while bringing your Sector Lead colleagues along the journey.Translate strategic intent into clear brand expression and marketing narratives for multiple audiences: clients, talent, partners, and media.Marketing LeadershipDevelop and execute an annual marketing strategy and plan, with clear priorities, budgets, and KPIs.Drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across core sectors and regions.Integrate traditional, digital, and AI-enhanced techniques into the marketing mix.Champion client-centric, insight-led marketing thinking throughout the organisation.Content, Campaigns & DigitalOversee the creation of powerful content that showcases RKD’s thinking, talent, and impact — from thought leadership to project case studies.Optimise RKD’s digital presence (website, SEO, social, email) and explore emerging digital trends including automation, generative AI and data-driven targeting.Curate and deliver client-facing events, webinars, and conference participation to position RKD as a leading voice in design and sustainability.Internal & External EngagementCollaborate with Sector and Project Leaders to support BD, RFPs, and pursuit marketing.Work closely with our HR Team to develop internal campaigns that connect employees to our purpose, values and work.Represent RKD at key industry forums and networks to increase brand visibility and influence as appropriate.Team Building & Agency ManagementDefine and build a lean & efficient marketing function to support our growth strategy, this will mean leaning into the utilisation and coordination of existing internal resources.Manage relationships with creative, digital and PR agencies to deliver high-impact outcomes.Create a culture of accountability, creativity, and commercial focus.Experience & QualificationsMinimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior B2B marketing, brand or communications role — preferably within the services sectors, or professional services.Proven track record of developing and executing brand and marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.Experience working across complex stakeholder environments (internally and externally).Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, content creation, and event management.Exposure to AI and emerging marketing technologies is preferable.Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related discipline.Who You AreA strategic marketer with the mindset of a business leader.Equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves to execute.Insight-led and results-driven, with a bias for action.Curious, collaborative and creative — with strong influencing skills.A believer in the power of culture, purpose, and people to drive great outcomes.What We OfferOpportunity to shape the brand and marketing direction of one of the world’s most ambitious design and architecture consultancies.Direct input into firm-wide strategy.A people-first culture recognised globally for excellence in employee experience and leadership.Supportive, dynamic environment with flexibility and autonomy.Competitive salary and benefits package.Competitive annual leave scheme with service-related increments.Pension SchemeDeath in Service Life Cover Plan which is part of the pension scheme.Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave contributions.Overseas opportunities to travel.Christmas Voucher Scheme.Bike to Work Scheme.TaxSaver Scheme.Access to VHI Insurance and Dental Scheme (available for all employee’s family).CPD Training provided for by the Company.Relevant Professional SubscriptionsTuition fees supported by the Company.Social Club.Paid Study Leave.Flexible working hours – early Friday finish
