Overview

Technician, Process at Stryker. This role focuses on ensuring manufacturing processes run consistently and meet performance targets, with responsibilities across cross-functional collaboration, production yield monitoring, maintenance coordination, and process improvements.


What you will do

* Ensure manufacturing processes run consistently and meet performance targets.
* Actively interface with cross-functional team members and 3rd party vendors, practicing good teamwork in support of day-to-day operating requirements.
* Monitor and manage production yield performance on assigned lines.
* Liaise with Team Leaders regarding productivity and efficiency performance issues on your assigned lines.
* Engage in mechanical/electrical/electronic troubleshooting and resolve hardware/software interfacing problems on the production floor.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
* Communicate regularly with Operators regarding issues, concerns and watch-outs on the lines.
* Test electrical systems, circuits and wiring in processing equipment and fixtures.
* Plan, layout and install processing equipment on work-stations.
* Maintain responsibility for product line performance, primarily maximizing productivity and minimizing yield loss from the process.
* Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities on assigned lines/processes.
* Identify and assist the business with the implementation of technical improvements.
* Identify process equipment spares requirements and source and replenish spares from stock according to company policies.
* Perform equipment qualification and project work as assigned.
* Design, specification, fabrication, testing and documentation of process equipment changes and improvements.
* Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and communicate any concerns regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues.
* Build quality into all work by complying with site and corporate Quality Management System requirements.
* Provide out-of-hours support to the business as required by management or as mandated by shutdowns and/or equipment failures.
* All other duties as assigned.


What you will need

* Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Science, related discipline or a trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or toolmaking, or 2 years of technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Good knowledge of electronics and software control systems.
* Experience in a modern manufacturing environment with familiarity in low/medium voltage electrical power systems, pneumatics, PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, calibration, AutoCAD, and injection molding.
* Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
* Strong business understanding of operations and their impact.
* High level of PC skills; flexibility and strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Green or Black Belt Six Sigma qualifications are an advantage.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
