ICT Technician - 6-month contract
Pay rate - up to €34,000 per annum
Location: Dublin City
Immediate joiner/available at short notice

Client is a public sector organisation.
Your new role
* Assist the ICT Manager in maintaining, securing, and developing the museum’s IT and online infrastructure.
* Provide day-to-day technical support for approximately 45 users, both on-site and remotely.
* Coordinate with third-party providers for infrastructure, cloud services, service desk, and communications.
* Help manage third-party vendors to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with SLAs/KPIs.
* Support the evaluation and integration of new technologies and systems, and contribute to IT planning and training.
* Assist in managing external IT experts involved in museum projects.
* Provide guidance on IT security and digital compliance.
* Contribute to service improvement, incident management, and ICT change processes.
* Apply best practice frameworks across IT support and infrastructure.
* Support the implementation of the museum’s Digital Strategy and assist in shaping future strategy.
* Collaborate with the digital team on online resources and content.
* Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements for public and staff-facing services.
* Maintain partnerships with other institutions to enhance IT collaboration.
* Advise colleagues on social media and digital engagement opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum 2+ years in a similar ICT support role.
* Experience working in Ireland before.
* Proven experience in service desk and general ICT service delivery.
* Skilled in managing on-premises infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, SQL databases, Veeam, firewalls, networking, storage (SAN/NAS), VOIP/PBX; Linux experience is a plus.
* Experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint), S3-compatible storage, and WordPress.
* Proficient in end-user support: Windows 10/11, hardware, Microsoft Office, collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom), and printing.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and information security best practices.
* Excellent time management, prioritisation, and multitasking abilities, even under pressure.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Willing to provide occasional support during evenings or weekends as needed.
