Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of equipment modules and packages through design and procurement phases.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels, with excellent communication skills and high levels of commitment.
The role will focus on the pharma/biopharma and Life Sciences sector, requiring strong mechanical optimization and site support capabilities.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in leading a design team and coordinating the efforts of others.
Responsibilities
1. Ownership of equipment modules and packages through design and procurement phases
2. Generation of Data Sheets, Material Requisitions & Enquiry Packages for procurement of equipment
3. Generation of Technical Bid Tab Evaluation of vendors in compliance with Client specifications
4. Developing Technical Specifications in compliance with Client requirements
5. Development of each package through Kick-off meetings, Design Reviews, FAT's etc.
6. Project manage Suppliers to ensure packages are designed, manufactured and tested as per project requirements
7. Interfacing with clients, vendors, client project management and other disciplines ensuring the highest level of service is provided
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Engineers with a primary degree in Chemical/Process Engineering and relevant process experience may also be considered)
* 10+ years design experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors
* Self-starter, experience in leading a design team and in coordinating the efforts of others
* Good communication skills (ability to lead Technical and Safety reviews Chartered status desirable)
