Dublin Aerospace Group is a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) based in Ireland and the UK, specialising in Base Maintenance, Landing Gear and APU overhaul. We are a leading player in the MRO market in Europe and have established ourselves as a high quality, reliable service provider. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the Base Maintenance Department at our Dublin Airport facility. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate daily operations, manage interactions with support shops and services, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and deputise for the General Manager - Base Maintenance.
* Coordinate daily operations of the Base Maintenance Department, including support shops and services.
* Manage the contractor requirement levels within Base Maintenance.
* Liaise with customer representatives.
* Allocate manpower and skill sets to optimise team performance and customer satisfaction.
* Ensure training requirements for Base Maintenance staff are met.
* Identify and implement improvements in business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Manage projects related to base maintenance operations, ensuring timely and successful completion.
* Develop and monitor KPIs to track departmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Provide Leadership and guidance to the Base Maintenance Team Leaders.
* Participate in recruitment and selection processes, providing support to HR and Compliance & Safety Departments.
* Promotion of Regulatory and company procedures including SMS.
* Address safety and compliance issues promptly.
* Minimise Compliance audit findings and resolve any issues efficiently.
* Meet and exceed customer requirements and departmental revenue and cost targets.
* Collaborate with the sales executives to identify new business opportunities and coordinate customer slot requests.
* Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills And Experience
* Hold a Part 66 C Category AML with an A320/B737 type rating or an equivalent 3rd level aviation qualification.
* Project management and business process improvement experience.
* Strong commercial awareness of the base maintenance business.
* Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop staff and teams.
* Excellent analytical, decision‑making, planning, and organisational skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Willingness to invest in personal development.
* Familiarity with base maintenance planning, materials, and work recording systems (e.g., DALsys, SAP, AMOS) is an advantage.
