Contracts ManagerDepartment: SalesEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: DublinDescription
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Contracts Manager to join our team at Codec. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts. You will play a vital part in our bid and delivery processes, ensuring contract compliance, managing risk, and supporting smooth project execution. Working closely with our teams, you will help safeguard Codec's commercial interests while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare the legal and commercial assumptions etc in out tender bidsNegotiate the legals in each contract.Monitor contracts to ensure work done is in spec and contracted, otherwise ensure we don't do it unless we get a CREnsure CRs are achieved for requested work that is outside specHelp manage client-side delays to the project to ensure continuous build for our teamsWhere the client is responsible for us onboarding new people, arrange CRs for the training neededMain positive relationship with stakeholders and the customer whilst doing these thingsDrafting and Negotiation: working with Legal and Finance and the Commercial team to assist with creating, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favorable outcomesCompliance and Risk Management: Ensuring contracts meet legal standards and managing risks by addressing potential issues proactivelyBudgeting and Scheduling: Estimating budgets, agreeing on timelines, and managing costs throughout the project lifecycleStakeholder Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and execution.Monitoring and Reporting: Overseeing contract performance, tracking milestones, and maintaining accurate records for audits or reviewsDispute Resolution: Addressing conflicts or disputes that arise during contract execution
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseProven experience (5+ years preferred) in contract management, legal, or commercial rolesStrong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance standardsExcellent negotiation and drafting skillsAbility to manage multiple contracts and stakeholders simultaneouslyExperience working with cross-functional teamsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on maintaining client relationshipsHighly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skillsKnowledge of IT services or project delivery environments is a plusBachelor's degree Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
