Role Overview We are recruiting for two Social Care Manager positions to lead and oversee services in both a Residential House and an Individualised Programme (IP) House in Athlone, Co.
Westmeath.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance, while fostering an empowering, safe, and supportive environment for service users.
Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support staff teams within the designated house.
Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, standards, and organisational policies.
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices.
Promote a person-centred approach tailored to the needs of each service user.
Manage budgets, rosters, and staffing resources effectively.
Lead on staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.
Develop strong relationships with families, MDTs, and external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain quality standards across the service.
Requirements Level 8 degree in Social Care or a related discipline (essential).
Minimum 3 years management experience in a social care setting.
Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Full clean drivers licence (essential).
