Job Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Project Engineer to lead our capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance across pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D operations.
Main Responsibilities
* Incorporate EHS requirements into project development, facility improvements, and process modifications.
* Conduct thorough Pre-Start up Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and ensure closure of EHS-related actions before commissioning.
* Perform site walkdowns to identify hazards and verify engineering controls.
* Support criticality assessments for equipment, utilities, and processes impacting safety and regulatory compliance.
Technical Expertise
* Develop and implement comprehensive High Hazard Programs including Construction Safety, ATEX, and Process Safety Management.
* Collaborate on Biosafety programs including containment strategy validation and support.
* Support Hazardous Waste and Chemical Inventory systems in accordance with pharmaceutical regulations.
Regulatory Compliance
* Maintain adherence to EHS regulations including HSA and EPA standards.
* Implement and enforce Construction, Machinery, and other EHS Regulations.
