Data Analyst

Our client – a U.S.-based enterprise software company that provides cloud applications for finance, HR, and planning – is looking for a Data Analyst focused on reporting, with a passion for learning, helping business partners, report design and data analysis. This role will work first hand with the Accounting organization to enhance their processes with Automation and Data Science.
The ideal candidate brings a thorough understanding of data modeling, reporting frameworks and has the ability to drive processes improvement strategies and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal partners to identify, define and clarify business requirements; translate needs into efficient reports and configurations that conform to standard methodologies and provide data‑driven insights.
* Utilize datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors and metrics.
* Build organization‑wide relationships to move initiatives forward and influence ideas to enhance success likelihood.
* Develop technical expertise in various technologies, including the reporting and analytics framework and security framework.
* Demonstrate business knowledge and expertise to uncover process gaps and work multi‑functionally to formulate plans to improve support models.
* Participate in organizational change and launch support processes.
* Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain specialists and end‑user representatives.
* Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met.
* Work closely with the project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); track issues through resolution and secure end‑user acceptance sign‑off.
* Contribute to documentation, QA and organization of our analytics tooling.
Requirements
* Strong data analysis and data modelling skills, ability to interpret, structure and visualise complex datasets.
* Experience integrating and analysing data from multiple sources (Workday and other applications); experience in Workday reporting and analytics tools is beneficial.
* Knowledge of process improvement and automation within financial or accounting workflows.
* Experience with system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), including issue tracking and validation.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills – ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
