Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
* Assist in the day to day running of ADAPT Charity shop
* Assist with the collection and delivery of furniture
* Assist in the lifting and carrying of Furniture
* Assist in planning the route in an efficient and effective way to ensure agreements with customers re scheduled times are met
* Monitor & Control the flow of furniture into and out of stores
* Assist in displaying and storing the furniture securely in the van, shop and store at all times, ensuring that appropriate health and safety standards are maintained
* Dealing with customer queries, requests and complaints
* Dealing with sales, merchandising and display
* Choosing items for sale and recycle
* Clothes tagging, rotation, washing and ironing
* Cleaning, polishing and keeping a safe working environment
* Working with a cash register
* Recycle unsuitable stock
* Assist in cleaning, repairing and upcycling furniture to make it more resaleable
* Deal with donators and customer queries, requests and complaints and referring on to the Shop Manager
* Carry out the Opening and Closing Check List daily
* Assist in organising fundraising events
* Participate in current fundraising activities (e.g. if required)
* Promote the ethos of ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services
