Senior Financial Accountant – Cork - Permanent
Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to join our client’s growing organisation at an exciting time of expansion. This newly created position is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership, drive processes, and grow alongside the business.
You will join a tight-knit finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. With significant exposure across the business and an evolving remit, this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the month-end close process, including journal postings, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
2. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
3. Ensure compliance with statutory and tax obligations, including VAT and payroll-related returns.
4. Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
6. Maintain and improve financial controls and internal processes.
7. Contribute to ad hoc projects and support business-wide initiatives as needed.
What We’re Looking For
1. Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3+ years’ post-qualification experience.
2. Strong financial management, reporting, and compliance background.
3. Experience working in a fast-paced, growing business.
4. IT Proficient with SAP experience.
