We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join Adult Disability Services in Longford. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive, community-based service supporting adults with physical and intellectual disabilities across a variety of settings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, with a particular emphasis on seating, posture management, and specialist equipment provision. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development, clinical leadership, and best practice within adult disability services.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior occupational Therapist:
Provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy services to adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
Assess, plan, implement and review individualised intervention programmes
Lead on seating, posture management, and equipment provision, including complex assessments
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Support and mentor staff grade occupational therapists and students, as appropriate
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development initiatives
Essential Criteria for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including relevant senior-level experience
Demonstrated experience in seating and specialist equipment provision
Experience working with adults with disabilities
Full, clean driving licence and access to a car
Excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills
Desirable Criteria:
Experience working within community-based adult disability services
Experience with complex physical presentations and assistive technology
