The Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist will play a vital role in the Post Natal Hub and/or Pelvic Health/Ambulatory Gynaecology hub based out of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. This individual will work as part of the physiotherapy team and Obstetrics/Gynaecology and relevant consultant-led MDT services in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and/or in the community-based Post Natal Hub.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Pelvic Health and Continence Service
* Support the Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Urology and relevant services in OLOLH
* Deliver highly specialized physiotherapy care to women across multiple sites in the region
* Be a core member of the MDT and work to meet KPI's, report statistics and develop the service regionally
Duties
* Leadership, development, and management of gynaecology & obstetric physiotherapy care
* Development of a Post Natal Hub service for the Region
* Enhance clinical care pathways to optimize health
* Provision of specialist physiotherapy care to complex patients referred to the physiotherapy department
* Undertake a clinical caseload within the physiotherapy department and/or Post Natal hub (regional sites)
* Service development specific to the Pelvic Health service
* Involvement in research and audit activities
* Acting as an information resource for colleagues locally, regionally or nationally
Requirements
* Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
* Five years full-time (or an aggregate of five years) post-registration qualification experience
* Four years full-time (or an aggregate of four years) post-registration qualification clinical experience in the required area of Specialism
* Demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence in the specialism
* Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism
* Achievement in the areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching, and research
