Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a permanent position in an adult acute neurology service. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced assessments, diagnoses, and specialist individual intervention programs for patients with complex communication and/or swallowing disorders post-stroke.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting thorough assessments of patients with complex communication and/or swallowing disorders
* Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
* Providing specialist support and information to service users and relevant others
Requirements:
* A recognized qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration or eligibility for same
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification clinical experience in acute adult neurology, stroke rehabilitation, and dysphagia assessment and management
* Excellent leadership and service development skills
