Environmental, Health and Safety Manager
AirconMech, leading mechanical contractors, are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join their expanding team.
This senior role offers an opportunity to shape and deliver a best-in-class Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities
As an EHS Manager with AirconMech, your key responsibilities will include:
Lead, mentor, and support the EHS team across all sites and offices.
Develop and implement a company-wide EHS strategy aligned with business objectives.
Provide expert guidance to the Board on EHS performance, risks, and emerging trends.
Champion a collaborative and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Compliance & Management Systems
Ensure full compliance with ISO ****, ISO *****, and ISO ***** standards.
Oversee internal and external audits, certification processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update all EHS policies, procedures, and documentation in line with legislative and industry requirements.
Prepare the monthly EHS Dashboard and present key findings to the Board of Directors.
PSCS Responsibilities
Fulfil and oversee Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) duties on applicable projects.
Develop and manage Construction Stage Safety & Health Plans.
Monitor site safety practices, subcontractor compliance, and statutory obligations.
Provide ongoing EHS support and guidance to ensure safe project delivery.
Operational EHS Management
Implement and oversee risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action plans.
Analyse EHS performance data and present detailed reporting to senior leadership.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor behaviours, conditions, and compliance levels.
Training, Capability & Culture
Identify EHS training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of targeted programmes.
Promote safety awareness initiatives, toolbox talks, and engagement campaigns.
Ensure competency standards are upheld across the organisation.
Environmental Leadership
Lead environmental sustainability initiatives including waste management and resource efficiency.
Monitor environmental performance and implement improvement measures.
Ensure compliance with all environmental legislation and best practice guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent AirconMech on EHS matters with clients, regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and industry groups.
Build strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to drive shared safety objectives.
Manage the online subcontractor management platform.
Eligibility Criteria/ Qualifications and/or Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following attributes:
Relevant degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Chartered membership of IOSH (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Minimum 7–10 years' experience in senior EHS leadership roles within construction or industrial environments.
Strong experience managing ISO ****, ISO *****, and ISO ***** systems.
In-depth knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU health & safety legislation, including PSCS duties.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategic outcomes.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's licence.
Minimum 5 years' experience working in a construction/onsite environment.
