Role: Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Remote)
Contract: 12 Months
We are currently working with a client who is seeking an experienced Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer.
The role will focus on building scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions while leveraging Microsoft Fabric services including Lakehouse, Data Factory, and semantic models.
This position combines technical development with business-facing analytics delivery, ensuring reporting solutions are performant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development
Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
Build scalable data models using Star Schema and BI best practices
Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs
Optimize report performance and query execution
Microsoft Fabric Platform Development
Develop analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric services, including:
Fabric Lakehouse
Fabric Data Factory
Dataflows Gen2
Fabric Pipelines
Support data ingestion and transformation from multiple enterprise systems
Data Integration & Transformation
Build data transformation logic using Power Query (M), SQL, and Fabric pipelines
Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Data Lakes, APIs, and ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Dynamics)
Design and maintain enterprise-grade semantic models
Ensure models are scalable and aligned with reporting requirements
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support user adoption, reporting usage, and training
Governance & Performance
Implement data governance and security models including Row-Level Security (RLS)
Ensure adherence to Power BI deployment pipelines and DevOps practices
Maintain technical documentation and development standards
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms
Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M)
Experience building data models, semantic layers, and Star Schema structures
Understanding of data warehouse and dimensional modelling principles
Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse architecture
Experience with Azure Data Factory
Experience with PySpark or notebooks within Fabric
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments
Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP or Salesforce
