Overview
Our client, a privately owned Irish company based in Longford, is seeking to recruit a Production Manager. The role involves overseeing all molding operations, setting performance standards, measuring results, analyzing workflow and troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities
IQMS experience is a distinct advantage, but not essential; full training will be provided.
Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures/policies; maintain a safe and clean environment.
Ensure customer requirements are met.
Review and approve labor management.
Understand all products and quality specifications of active products.
Establish and monitor plant performance by creating goals and reviewing tracking metrics.
Develop and communicate plans to reduce scrap.
Ensure duties are defined, communicated and met by direct reports.
Review and approve all performance evaluations.
Review and investigate all accident reports.
Verify compliance with all PM Management activities through our Maximo system.
Track, monitor and verify accuracy of RM, WIP and FG inventories.
Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees by upholding policies and procedures.
Implement and uphold the Quality System ISO 13485, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 14001.
Drive technical and operational enhancements.
Manage performance of our production facility, including resourcing, manpower and efficiency.
Monitor production data (e.g., downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implement solutions.
Drive a culture of safety and innovation, ensuring our facility is audit‑ready every day.
Liaise with cross‑functional teams to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Lead and performance‑manage your direct reports; proactively participate in the performance management process to ensure delivery of own and the wider team’s objectives.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in an injection molding medical device manufacturing facility and general manufacturing operations in a similar high‑volume production role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to analyze performance data and present actionable insights, and collaborate with all levels of the business.
A results‑driven approach with a knack for problem‑solving and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
BSc in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline; a third‑level qualification is desirable, but experience and passion matter most.
Working knowledge of IQMS would be an advantage.
