About the Role
We are seeking a Process Leader to join our Diabetes Care Division in Donegal Town, where we manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and sensors. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance, while driving continuous improvement. This is an evening shift (4pm to 12pm) Monday to Friday permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of Operations Processors, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
* Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer and business needs.
* Troubleshoot and program PLC control systems (Rockwell and Siemens).
* Maintain and repair high-volume manufacturing equipment, including vision systems and electrical control systems.
* Perform both planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
* Contribute to the development of work instructions and operational procedures.
* Support exception reporting and performance excellence assessments.
* Drive process and equipment improvement projects.
* Promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
What You'll Bring
* A third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science, or a trade certificate in an engineering discipline Qualified electrician or electrical engineer preferred.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Supervisory or team leadership experience is a strong advantage.
* Strong technical knowledge of pneumatics, sensor circuits, and servo motors.
* Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
