Job Description & Summary
We are seeking a Change Manager, to be part of our Consulting practice. The role offers a chance to contribute to and support a variety of client engagements, helping drive project team success. You will have exposure to a variety of clients and the opportunity to lead on exciting and challenging projects and be responsible for providing regular updates to the Director and Partner team. Join a Dynamic Team Driving Change
Our Consulting practice is part of our wider Consulting and Advisory services, made up of both industry leads and subject matter experts, driving change and innovation across this ever-growing department. Our consultants possess transferable skills and collaborate across various teams within the Consulting, Advisory department, applying expertise in project management, stakeholder management, communication and process improvement to drive impactful results.
As a Change Manager, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading clients across diverse sectors on areas such as organisational change, process improvement, and strategic transformation. The role will be focused on leveraging your expertise in change management methodologies and driving successful change initiatives across a range of organisations.
- Collaborating with clients to solve complex issues by conducting in-depth research, leading workshops, performing comprehensive analysis and delivering strategic recommendations, all while leveraging a combination of expertise, industry insights, cutting-edge tools and technology.
- Leading the delivery of client projects and workstreams by devising strategic work plans, managing team performance and financials, and ensuring the production of exceptional, high quality deliverables (e.g. formal reports, presentations etc.).
- Partnering with clients in Ireland and internationally to drive the successful delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals and objectives.
- Engaging with diverse stakeholders and establishing yourself as a subject matter expert both within client organisations and by colleagues.
- Bringing a holistic perspective to the challenges of managing diverse teams, focusing on crafting effective strategies to navigate these complexities, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the Firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse culture.
- Leading and supporting the end-to-end delivery of client Change projects, from initiation through to successful completion.
- Building strong relationships with project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and successful client delivery.
- Actively contributing to the growth of the internal practice by shaping propositions, refining methodologies and spearheading the development and promotion of though leadership initiatives, while actively encouraging knowledge capture and sharing across the team.
Skills and Experience
Education and Certifications
- A third level degree, with a strong academic record.
- A minimum of 5 – 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a Consulting or corporate environment.
- Familiarity with Programme and Project Management for large-scale business (e.g., PRINCE 2, Agile, Scrum).
Skills and Competencies
The candidate must have proven expertise and experience in at least two (and ideally more) of the following areas:
- Designing and implementing Operating Models and Organisational Structures.
- Developing and delivering large scale change programmes.
- Developing and delivering Learning and Development programmes.
- Providing HR Consulting services, including but not limited to: HR Strategy; HR Maturity Assessment; HR Operating Model and Workforce Planning; Culture Reviews; and Gender Pay Gap Reporting.
- Managing end-to-end Change Management processes, including Change Leadership; Stakeholder Engagement; Cultural and Behavioural Change; Learning and Development.
- Organisational Structure Transition Management.
In addition to the credentials listed above, candidates must also have:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written skills with the ability to create comprehensive reports and compelling presentations.
- Proven ability to collaborate and deliver results in multi-disciplinary teams.
- A proven track record of successfully contributing to and leading projects.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in building strong networks and fostering client relationships.

At Grant Thornton we promote a flexible working environment and are currently support a hybrid working model. We also offer employees the opportunity to avail of a compressed working week the Friday before each Bank Holiday and every week from June – August inclusive. This allows employees the opportunity to finish at 3pm on a Friday, subject to client approval.
