The Role:
Harper Finley is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical) to join a high-performing maintenance team in a fast-paced food production environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and technically skilled individual to contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Execute and maintain the preventative maintenance programme to minimise downtime
* Respond swiftly and effectively to equipment breakdowns during shifts
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical and mechanical systems using schematics
* Maintain accurate records in line with food safety and audit standards
* Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and maintenance costs
* Promote and adhere to health & safety practices across all tasks
* Liaise with production, QA, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business goals
* Coordinate external contractors and ensure compliance on site
* Contribute to continuous improvement and business development initiatives
The Person:
* Trade qualification or diploma in Electrical/Electronics
* Strong knowledge of 3-phase, single-phase, and low-voltage DC systems
* Skilled in reading electrical schematics and wiring components (MCBs, RCDs, etc.)
* Hands-on experience with PLCs, MMIs, and process control equipment
* Familiar with motors, gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics
* Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in the food industry (chilled environment preferred)
* Proficient computer skills and strong communication in English (spoken and written); additional languages an advantage
The Offer:
* Salary €42,000 – €48,000
* Full-time position (5 days over 7)
* Alternating shifts:
* 8:00am – 4:30pm
* 11:00am – 7:30pm
* On-call rotation
