Our organization is seeking a Health and Environmental Officer to support our site management teams and staff in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on construction sites in Ireland and hold relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Health and Safety or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
* Provide guidance and support to staff and contractors on health and safety protocols and procedures.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve overall health and safety performance.
* Monitor and report on key health and safety metrics, including accident rates and near-miss incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
* Relevant academic qualifications, such as a degree in Health and Safety or a related field.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
