Ready Chef is a second generation family owned Irish business supplying Fresh and Prepared vegetables, fruits and salads to all strands of the Irish Food Service Sector.We are currently looking to recruit a full time Quality Control Operative to work as part of our goods in team.The Quality Control Operative is responsible for ensuring that the products being received are in accordance with the specifications laid down by the company. The QC must assure the quality of the produce stocked in the warehouse so that the customer receives the highest possible quality goods.The main duties associated with the role are as follows:Checking all product as intake for quality and quantity as per the product specification.Liaising with the Department Manager to send written reports to suppliers of goods received.Conduct daily quality checks of produce from previous days deliveries.Report to the Department Manager any issues found during QC checks at intake or from previous days stockRe work returned products back into stock only when it meets the standard required.Monitor, record and create stock wastage reports.Perform all duties in accordance with the companies policies including the HACCP and BRC policies.Attend weekly department meetingsPerform ad-hoc duties assigned by management.The main skills and requirements for the position are:Previous knowledge and experience working in the fresh produce (Fruit and Veg) industry is essential.Ability to work in a high pressure work environment.Excellent attention to detail.High conflict resolution ability.Excellent organisational skills.Must have the ability the adapt to a flexible working schedule i.e be able to work weekends, bank holidays if required to do so.
