Description
This role is responsible for strong functional support to define the test strategy, ensuring comprehensive ALM IRRBB functional test coverage across components, integrations, data validation, data analysis, and user journeys within the upgraded ALM IRRBB environment.
The Test Functional SME will strongly contribute and coordinate test preparation, execution across multiple teams (ST, E2E, UAT), manage complete test coverage, traceability to ensure testing is functionally meet the business objective. The role will work closely with Product Owners, Business SMEs, Test Team Members, Technology Teams, to ensure the smooth collaboration & test outputs meets documented business requirements and is delivered to a high standard.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Functionally lead test delivery coverage and quality across System Testing, SIT and End to End phases, ensuring effective test preparation, coverage execution, and closure.
Ensure complete end to end test coverage, including new platform components and their integration with existing systems and legacy architecture.
As a test functional SME provide coaching, and guidance to test team to uplift quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Act as the primary functional point of contact for all test-related activities, deliverables, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
Ensure that the end to end platform meets documented business requirements, expectations, and functional needs for all consumers of the ALM IRRBB solution.
Perform peer reviews of test cases and traceability to ensure that all test preparation aligns correctly with business requirements and user stories.
Validation of IRR sensitive product consolidated data from different source system & confirm data accuracy prior load these data into cloud-based IRR Risk Platform.
Strengthen the test team’s understanding of IRRBB and ALM concepts to support effective functional testing.
Key Experience & Knowledge
Experience in end to end testing on an ALM/IRRBB platform implementation integrated with banking systems and interfaces.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of Finance experience, including at least 4 years in Testing or IRRBB business operations.
Preferred Qualification – FRM or CA or MBA Finance.
Strong knowledge in IRRBB framework, Liquidity Risk Measurement, behavioural analysis and Basel III LCR.
Strong Knowledge in Economic Value of Equity (EVE), Net Interest Income (NII) sensitivity, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Non-Traded Market Risk (NTMR)
Have good experience in ALM IRRBB systems (Testing or Operation) such as FIS BSM (preferred), QRM, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of risk regulatory framework like BASEL, PRA, EBA GL etc in the areas of IRRBB and Liquidity Risk
Good Knowledge in IR sensitive product in Banking Book (Deposits, loans, secured/ unsecured funding, IR derivatives, Swaps) and their characters.
Strong Experience in Data Analysis. Validate IRR sensitive product data from different source system & confirm data accuracy prior load these data into IRR Risk Platform (like FIS BSM or QRM)
Good banking product knowledge and treatment of off-balance sheet, hedge accounting exposure is preferred.
Good understanding in model implementation and/or model development in Liquidity Risk or IRRBB
Awareness of functional design and database framework for risk management systems and applications
Good Experience of Testing in Cloud Infrastructure. Experience in data flow and quality check from on-prem source system to cloud infra.
Basic knowledge of Python for data simulation & validation is preferred.
Experience working in Jira/Zephyr for Test and Defect Management (test scenarios/cases, defects, reporting) and other tools such as confluence.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical groups.
