About the Role At Uber, we strive to deliver safe transportation to all users of our application.
Ensuring compliance with our Regulatory requirements related to our Rides business allows us to operate safely across various jurisdictions in the UK and Ireland.
Our Overnight Regulatory Specialist team is responsible for collecting relevant regulatory information and ensuring the appropriate persons are informed in line with our Service Level Agreements.
This helps us maintain positive relationships with internal and external regulatory contacts, which is a key priority for our UK&I Rides Business.
The ideal candidate is interested in working with data, proactively seeks opportunities to solve problems, drive process excellence, and provide premium support to our Licensing entities.
What the Candidate Will Do Execute regulatory tasks in line with licensing conditions across the UK and Ireland.Communicate effectively with regulators regarding regulatory reporting issues.Ensure reportable events are escalated promptly to the appropriate personnel.Strive to meet or exceed Regulatory KPIs.Act as a point of escalation for queries requiring further clarification or attention.Collaborate with stakeholders on complex or niche cases.Identify and resolve blockers professionally and promptly.Promote our Regulatory vision and mission.Basic Qualifications Excellent spoken and written English skills.Proficiency in computer use, including typing and navigation.Strong reading comprehension and writing abilities.Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot efficiently.Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.Availability for shift work, averaging 40 hours per week.Willingness to work weekend and overnight shifts.Passion for Uber and its mission.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or college experience preferred.Experience in Regulatory affairs is a plus but not required.Support experience in high-volume environments such as service industries, retail, or hospitality is advantageous.We welcome applicants from all backgrounds committed to building a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
