Head Chef – DublinExcel Recruitment is thrilled to be recruiting a Head Chef on behalf of our client's fish and seafood restaurant based in north Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and creative chef to lead a talented kitchen team in a vibrant, quality-focused restaurant renowned for its fresh, locally sourced produce and exceptional standards.
Salary: €65k – €70k
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver outstanding food and service daily
2. Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including menu development, food preparation, and presentation
3. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality seafood dishes with creativity and precision
4. Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost efficiency
5. Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP regulations
6. Train, develop, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best
7. Work closely with restaurant management to achieve financial and operational targets.
8. Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant, ideally with a focus on seafood
10. Excellent culinary skills and creativity with a strong appreciation for fresh, seasonal ingredients
11. Strong leadership and communication abilities with a hands-on approach
12. Good knowledge of HACCP and all food safety procedures
13. Ability to manage costs, margins, and budgets effectively
14. Passionate, organised, and driven to maintain and exceed high standards
