This organisation specialises in residential and supported living services for children and adults with a range of complex needs, including mental health, intellectual disability, and forensic backgrounds.
You will take a lead clinical role within an Approved Centre in Cork, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred psychiatric care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities Clinical responsibility for patients within the Approved Centre Leadership and oversight of multidisciplinary care teams Contribute to clinical governance and strategic development of services Ensure compliance with national standards, legal regulations, and internal policies Drive service improvements through audits and action plans Conduct staff reviews and support professional development Promote advocacy and person-centred care for individuals supported Candidate Requirements Qualifications Full registration with the Irish Medical Council Postgraduate qualification in medical education, clinical research, or healthcare management (desirable) Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, HIQA standards, and best practice guidelines Experience Senior clinical leadership experience within a healthcare organisation Experience working in diverse psychiatric settings (ID and forensic preferred) Proven ability to produce high-quality reports and documentation at senior level Track record in clinical audit, research, education, or service development About the Organisation This well-established healthcare provider employs a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, including: Consultant Psychiatrists Clinical Directors Psychiatric & Intellectual Disability Nurses Nurse Prescribers Psychologists Behaviour Specialists Occupational Therapists SLTs, Dietitians, and Psychotherapists Services are built around a biopsychosocial and person-centred approach, with a strong focus on supporting individuals to actively participate in their care planning and recovery journey.
