In response to this continued expansion, Enersol Energy Ltd. is now actively seeking to hire a Head of Project Planning & HV Projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to contribute to our growth by delivering high-value, complex projects.
Role Profile:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HV/MV/LV electrical engineering projects, including tender submissions and design & build proposals. The role involves analyzing project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and working closely with bid and engineering teams to produce competitive and commercially viable tenders.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for substations, switchgear, transformers, protection & control, cabling, earthing, and associated civil works.
• Conducting quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
• Sourcing and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Developing cost models, cash flow projections, and risk assessments.
• Assisting in tender submissions and supporting negotiations and post-tender clarifications.
• Maintaining a cost database and supporting project handovers to delivery teams.

• Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, health & safety, and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with design, procurement, and engineering teams to validate solutions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to clarify technical and commercial scope.
• Support the continued growth of the business by identifying cost-effective solutions and maintaining commercial awareness.
Requirements:
Essential
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years' experience in estimating for HV/MV/LV projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV equipment including switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with utility standards, grid codes, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software (e.g., Candy, Conquest, CCS, or similar).
• Strong commercial knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and JCT contract types.
Desirable
• Experience in EPC or Design & Build HV projects.
• Knowledge of tendering processes with utilities, renewable energy developers, or industrial clients.
• Membership of a professional body (e.g., IET, RICS, CICES).
