Who should apply?
We are looking to speak with experienced compliance leaders with deep sectoral knowledge, particularly within regulated insurance environments. You will ideally have:
* 10+ years' experience in compliance, risk or audit, with a track record in senior leadership
* Extensive knowledge of life insurance, pensions, and general insurance (GI/PI) – this is essential
* Experience working within a regulated financial services firm
* Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
* Excellent leadership and people management ability, with a strategic mindset
* Prior PCF approval is advantageous
Role and Reporting Lines
This role reports to the CEO and will lead an experienced team of individuals. Key responsibilities include:
* Strategic Leadership: Lead the Risk & Compliance function across the business
* Regulatory Oversight: Maintain all compliance frameworks and oversee AML and Data Protection governance
* Board Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Board and committees on compliance and operational risk
* Operational Risk Management: Lead the operational risk programme in line with internal policies
* Business Partnering: Act as a trusted adviser to leadership while maintaining regulatory independence
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an established team of experienced compliance professionals
* Product & Change Oversight: Provide regulatory input on product literature and material change projects
* Stakeholder Management: Liaise with regulatory bodies and provide leadership on audit and risk-related matters
