NbxTalent is currently recruiting for mid-level Quantity Surveyors and Cost Managers for a large and scaling Facilities Management client based in Dublin. Pharmaceutical and/or MEP experience of any kind is an asset to an application. The successful individual will be predominately based in the Leinster region with a particular emphasis on the Dublin area however they will be expected to travel to meet the needs of the business. The successful applicant will operate between both the office and site as they provide support to the overall commercial team.RESPONSIBILITIESOverlook the measurement of work to maximise the value of applications to the clientsReviewing programmes in respect of delays, disruption, damage and subcontract programmes and ensure as-built records are maintained while the appropriate policies and communications are issued in line with contract requirements.Manage the administrating applications for payment up and down stream along with payment of subcontractors to ensure positive cashflow where possible with fair valuations.Responsible for the commercial management of contracts and the cost reporting of contractsPresent final accounts and additional cost applicationsCompile and produce subcontract documentsGeneral contract administration in line with our contract obligations and notices of change for any requested work that would be a variation to contracted workAssessment of subcontractor's applications for paymentAssisting with monthly valuations and the preparation of variationsMaintain variation logs for client and subcontractor variationsCompilation of tender documents and procurement strategyAssist the estimation team with estimate preparationsAlways behave in a manner fitting to the business ethos and always maintain the Company's standards both internally and externallyAct as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansionAny other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the businessSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDDegree qualified in either a Quantity Surveying or a Construction Economics disciplineRelevant experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is optional but is a major assetMinimum of 5 years experience in a fast-paced commercial environmentIdeally has solid commercial and financial awareness of the Irish construction and facilities management ecosystemExcellent analytical and planning ability with exceptional numeracy skillsStrong understanding of financial and budgetary control (labour and subcontractors)Must possess exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and complete a wide range of tasksHighly proficient level of IT literacy to include Microsoft OfficeFluency in English
