Diagnostics Radiographer Opportunity
Excel Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading hospital in North Tipperary to recruit a motivated, CORU registered Radiographer to join their team on a part-time or full-time basis, on a one-year fixed term contract.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive Radiology department, in a hospital known for its community-focused care. Located just 30 minutes from Limerick.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a service to both inpatients and outpatients, offering General and Emergency Radiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Radiography Department, working with a dedicated team of Radiographers. Providing a high-quality radiography service to patients in assigned areas, in accordance with professional standards of practice.
The job holder will participate daily in the general radiography service, proactively engaging in training for upskilling and professional development, maintaining high standards in patient care and radiographic techniques, ensuring adherence to radiation protection principles, and follow health and safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities include contributing to out-of-hours services, complying with statutory directives, and keeping clinical and technical knowledge up-to-date. The job also involves reporting equipment faults to designated supervisors, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and efficiently using Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and other relevant systems in daily tasks.
The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma/Degree of Radiography, be CORU registered, have knowledge of the RIS system and experience with on-call services, and demonstrate flexibility, strong awareness of Radiation Safety and Health & Safety regulations, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
