Senior Planning Team Lead Role
The role of Senior Planning Team Lead is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team of planning professionals. As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in planning applications, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Oversight resource allocation, workload planning, and project prioritisation within the planning team.
* Provide technical oversight and quality assurance on all planning deliverables.
Project Delivery Expectations:
* Manage preparation and submission of planning applications EIAs and related documentation.
* Oversight planning input into renewable energy infrastructure and development projects from feasibility to consent stages.
* Liaise with local authorities statutory bodies and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
Strategic Contributions:
* Support business development contributing to bids tenders and proposals.
* Monitor changes in planning legislation and policy to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice.
* Contribute to company-wide initiatives on sustainability innovation and operational improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant degree in Town Planning Environmental Planning or a related discipline Chartered membership of the Irish Planning Institute IPI or equivalent Minimum 7 years professional planning experience including team management Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation policy and environmental assessment processes Excellent project management communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience working on renewable energy infrastructure or environmental projects Experience across both urban and rural planning contexts Familiarity with cross-border planning considerations in Ireland/UK
