We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Department Manager to lead our Textile team in delivering exceptional customer care, operational standards, and sales performance.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Department Manager is to take accountability for their department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, maximising sales, and maintaining costs. This involves:
* Coaching and inspiring the team to deliver outstanding results and customer service.
* Analyzing sales data, stock availability, and trading patterns to inform strategic decisions.
* Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the right product mix to drive sales.
In conjunction with senior management, the Department Manager will:
* Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to enhance store displays.
* Monitor and control inventory levels, preventing stock discrepancies and minimising losses.
* Provide feedback to senior managers on performance, customer service developments, and operational issues.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, with a customer-focused mindset and strong commercial acumen. Prior experience as a Department or Team Leader in a fast-paced retail environment is desirable but not essential.
