Role Overview This role will work supporting the Operations Manager to support the operations branch network within First Choice Credit Union across all branch locations.
This role will require weekly travel to multiple locations.
The Operations Supervisor role will oversee the daily branch operations, ensuring best practices, managing member queries and complaints, delivering operational training, and driving process and efficiency improvements.
The role is responsible for maintaining strong health, safety, and security controls, proactively managing operational costs, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant policies, governance standards, legislation, and regulations while contributing to the effective execution of the credit unions overall operations strategy.
A permanent full-time contract of 36 hours per week across 5 days, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities Office Operations Effectively manage and control the day-to-day operations of the offices, ensuring optimum performance and operational cohesiveness within the team.
Manage the operational value proposition and administrative practices and processes of the offices, implementing plans to meet and exceed outlined targets and KPIs.
Proactivelymanagetheteamstasks,capacityandworkloadplanning,rosters,targets,qualityofworkand performance, inclusive of team member appraisals.
Effectivelycoachandmanageteammembersaspartoftheperformancemanagementprocess,includingregular reviews and personal development discussions and planning.
Buildaninclusiveoperationalteamthatallstafffeelpart of andarekeptfullyuptodateonallkeypolicies changes through regular team briefs with ongoing 2-way communication.
Ensure the MSA team actively promotes all credit union products, services and new initiatives.
Continuetobuildtrustedmemberrelationshipsthroughtimely,qualitycommunication,managinganyescalations, and reporting the same to the relevant manager.
Contribute to the strategic objectives of the credit union by ensuring the office meets its individual objectiveson an annual basis.
Participate in operational meetings with required information and analysis being communicated back to the Operations Manager and branch office staff as appropriate in a timely manner.
Embedding the credit union as the financial service provider of choice within the local community, continuing to reinforce the credit union brand and ethos at every opportunity.
Ensurethatcontrolsareinplacetosafeguardhealth&safetyfortheoffice,securityformembers,staffandvisitors, and operational costs are managed in a proactive manner.
Collaborate with all credit union departments to implement strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency through both existing and new distribution channels.

Role Requirements Aprofessionalfinancialservicesqualification,suchasaQFA,orarelevantMinimumCompetencyQualification, is required.
Ideally, a minimum of 2 years of customer-facing and people management experience, preferably in the credit union,financial services or similar regulated sectors.
Candidates should be able to demonstratetrainingexpertise,excellentorganizational,verbal,numerical, andwrittenskills.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities, including influencing others and establishing effective working relationships.
Ability to communicateeffectivelyandsensitivelywhenliaisingwithmembersfacetoface,onthephone, andthroughemail is required The ideal candidate would require positivedriveandenergytoattain results, targets, andKPIs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with adaptability to learn new software, will be required.
The candidate should hold acleandrivers licence and haveaccesstotheirowntransportationforinter-branchtravel.
The role requires high standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications & experience.
The role is full-time, 36 hours per week.
