Key Manufacturing Role
The role of a Manufacturing Engineer is crucial in the conception, design, development, and installation of new products or production lines. This position involves playing a key part in enhancing the manufacturing process to make it more cost-effective and efficient over time.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues and implement new products into production.
* Lead the optimization of processes using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
* Apply industrial engineering techniques and company standards to establish resource requirements and material flow.
* Analyze product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
* Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing cell performance.
* Ensure that the organization's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
* Maintain compliance with ISO/TS16949 standards in the manufacturing area.
* Assess and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
* Analyze and report on production processes, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
* Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with policies and relevant government laws.
* Review tool and equipment costs, predict future production overheads, and optimize workflow, space, and equipment placement.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
* Ensure staff adhere to manufacturer's procedures when operating equipment.
* Oversee the work of technicians and all personnel.
* Establish effective work sequences to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
* A degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
* Working knowledge of automation and assembly processes, laser welding systems, robotics, automation systems & dispense systems, validation lifecycle, Six Sigma problem solving.
* Supervisory experience is an advantage.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
* Proficiency in computer-aided modeling and design software.
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing production, processes, and equipment.
* Result-oriented approach.
* Knowledge of engineering science and mathematics.
