Lending Manager

A leading Irish financial services provider is seeking a Lending Manager to join their Direct Team in Dublin.
What you'll do:
Deliver annual new business lending targets through proactive management of direct lending activities, ensuring consistent achievement of organisational goals.
Oversee the quality, conversion rates, and delivery of new business by pre-screening applications and providing expert guidance to the wider mortgage community.
Manage all aspects of new direct business applications from initial enquiry through to successful completion, maintaining clear communication with clients throughout.
Monitor and review the performance of the new business pipeline regularly to guarantee exceptional customer service standards are met at every stage.
Foster strong working relationships with internal departments such as Credit, Finance, and AML to position the organisation as the preferred lender for clients.
Provide comprehensive system training to brokers, new staff members, and existing employees on product packaging, application processes, offer management, completions, and post-completion procedures.
Represent client cases internally to maximise good-quality lending opportunities while supporting clients in retaining their existing business portfolios.
Prepare timely updates for senior management regarding market trends, process improvements, competitive rates, marketing initiatives, and regulatory changes.
Identify new business opportunities by engaging with third-party introducers as well as cultivating direct business leads to expand market reach.
Contribute actively to improvement projects or tasks assigned by management to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
What you bring:
Possession of a university primary degree or relevant industry qualification; QFA or APA qualification is essential for this position.
At least five years' experience within banking or lending environments - ideally gained at a bank, brokerage firm or mortgage company - with demonstrable success in similar roles.
Comprehensive understanding of origination processes, consumer codes, regulatory practices related to both owner-occupier and buy-to-let mortgages within Ireland.
A well-established network among intermediary communities would be highly advantageous for expanding business reach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word) along with familiarity with Office 365 tools is required for effective reporting and communication.
Demonstrated motivation towards achieving agreed targets while maintaining high ethical standards in all dealings.
Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate effectively within small teams as well as across larger organisational structures.
Outstanding organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines.
A discreet approach when handling sensitive information coupled with absolute confidentiality at all times.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training initiatives designed to deepen your understanding of broker portal origination systems.
