Hybrid remote, 2 or 3 days a week onsite, based in Dublin City Center, 12-month contract initially. The Business Manager supports the Chief Information Officer in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the CIO office. This role is pivotal in managing the forward agenda, coordinating inputs for key meetings, and enabling a structured operating cadence across the IT leadership team. The Business Manager ensures the CIOs time is used efficiently by filtering priorities, preparing timely materials, and ensuring only key decisions reach their level. Key Responsibilities: Diary and Forward Agenda Management Proactively manage the CIOs schedule with a 10-week forward view, ensuring sufficient time is allocated for preparation, feedback, and strategic discussion. Coordinate and align diaries for key leadership and governance meetings. Anticipate and flag potential clashes or pinch points well in advance. Meeting Preparation and Execution Ensure all inputs into CIO meetings (e.g., governance forums, leadership updates, 1:1s) are prepared to a high standard and received on time from relevant contributors. Work with senior leadership team members to ensure briefing materials are timely, accurate, and aligned to meeting outcomes. Track post-meeting actions and follow up with accountable owners. Team and Leadership Cadence Drive an effective operating rhythm for the IT leadership team, including regular planning, check-ins, and follow-up sessions. Ensure meetings are purposeful and that decisions are escalated appropriately with non-critical items routed through the leadership team. CIO Support and Time Optimization Act as the first point of triage for the CIOs time, making sure priorities align with strategic and operational focus areas. Ensure the CIO has adequate time and information to review, provide feedback, and make informed decisions. Support preparation of internal communications, updates, and presentations on behalf of the CIO. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience in executive or business support roles at the senior leadership level. Exceptional organisational and forward-planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple inputs and stakeholders under time pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach. High attention to detail and ability to synthesise complex information clearly and concisely. Comfortable operating with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting C-level executives or working within a technology/IT function. Understanding of governance, leadership rhythms, and corporate communication processes. Strong proficiency in calendar tools, collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint), and MS Office Suite.
