Estates Operations Supervisor - Building (Public Sector) VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Estates Operations Supervisor - Building for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension.
This role will be based in Lisburn.
The post holder will have a responsibility for the management of specific elements of Estate operations building and engineering maintenance teams.
Responsibilities To supervise and manage directly employed trade staff and external contractors on maintenance and servicing duties including Building, mechanical, electrical works, and promoting innovative solutions for continually recurring problems.
To allocate the best resources available including external sub-contractors and directly employed staff on various emergency and infrastructure works, in all facilities and check for completeness and quality of work.
To assist directly employed labour, external sub-contractors and Estates Officers to investigate and identify problems with complicated building fabric, plant and equipment and recommend the most suitable repair solution.
To issue and control daily work allocation to directly employed labour and external sub-contractors through the departments CAFM Systems.
Keep electronic records of work allocated including date, location, details and outcomes.
Responsible for planning maintenance programmes for building & engineering services.
This includes reviewing working procedures and practices.
Requirements A recognised and registered building/construction apprenticeship NQF Level 3/BTEC Higher National Diploma/Higher National Certificate or equivalent in a building/construction or other related subject Minimum of 3 years' relevant post apprenticeship experience Working knowledge and experience of undertaking tasks relating to building and engineering Use of Microsoft Office and CAFM System Remuneration c£29,970 per annum, plus discount benefits.
