We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to support ongoing projects and ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is ready to take ownership of safety standards across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Safety audits — Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Regulatory compliance — Ensure adherence to HSA regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
Incident management — Assist with investigations into accidents, near misses, and non‑conformances, producing clear reports and recommendations.
Training delivery — Support toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings for staff and contractors.
Documentation control — Maintain safety files, method statements, risk assessments, and compliance records.
Continuous improvement — Contribute to the development of safety initiatives and improvements to safety systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Recognised Health & Safety qualifications.
1–2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role.
Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and across multiple sites.
Full clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills
Experience with ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
First Aid or Manual Handling Instructor certification.
Familiarity with safety management systems or safety software.
