We're currently seeking a Financial & Business Analyst (FP&A) to join the team at Dean Group. If you have experience in FP&A, delivering insightful reporting and analysis, and partnering with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Purpose
This role is ideal for a detail-driven and analytically strong finance professional who thrives in both hands-on work and broader ownership. The Financial Analyst will support group-wide FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, commercial, operational and business case analysis. You will help build and maintain the financial infrastructure used across the organisation, ensure high data accuracy, and play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making.
This position offers the opportunity to grow into owning core FP&A processes, lead reporting improvements, and eventually support system implementation as the group's data and technology landscape evolves.
Working Arrangements:
Dublin/ London - based preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Forecasting
* Support coordination of the group wide budget and quarterly forecast cycles.
* Prepare corporate level budget, forecast, cashflow and long range planning models.
* Consolidate group submissions and review for alignment with group guidance.
* Develop scenario modelling and sensitivity analyses to support decision making.
Management Reporting and Performance Management
* Consolidate group financials and prepare monthly management reporting.
* Analyse performance against budget, forecast and prior year, including variance analysis.
* Highlight key performance drivers and communicate insights to stakeholders.
* Identify key drivers of performance and communicate results to relevant stakeholders
* Prepare departmental and functional reporting packs to support business leaders.
Financial Analysis
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making
* Support and develop business cases for strategic initiatives, including ROI evaluation and recommendations.
* Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights to senior stakeholders
Data and Systems
* Ensure integrity, consistency and accuracy of financial data across reporting, models and systems.
* Perform data validation and support financial governance, controls standards.
* Enhance and automate reporting tools, models, templates and recurring deliverables.
* Maintain and reconcile scenarios including budgets, forecasts and actuals.
* Build and maintain financial models that support analytics, reporting and planning.
* Support adoption and optimisation of future financial systems and BI/reporting tools.
* Improve data structures and reporting frameworks to enhance transparency and insight across the organisation.
Business Partnership
* Work closely and provide analytical support to functional teams across the business to ensure financial alignment, including but not limited to commercial teams and operational teams
* Translate complex financial information into clear business insights for both finance and non-finance audiences
* Support cross-functional projects requiring financial evaluation and analytical support.
Preferred Experience & Skills
* 1-5 years' experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or similar roles.
* Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Hospitality or related field
* Hospitality industry experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
* Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel capability (Power Query/Power BI/Macros experience is an advantage).
* Experience with ERP, reporting, BI or planning tools is a benefit, but a willingness and ability to learn new systems is essential.
* Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Ability to communicate insights clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* Comfortable working under deadlines, prioritising workload and managing multiple deliverables.
* Proactive mindset, high ownership, curiosity and willingness to learn and improve processes, tools and reporting.
