We're hiring a Warehouse Assistant/Operative to join our Operations team in Dublin. You'll process shipments that pass through the World Courier warehouse facility at DUB quickly and efficiently whilst paying attention to detail. Keep a close watch on stock levels and advise the manager when they are running low and ordering stock. General handling duties.
Tasks
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operation / use of World Courier I.T. systems; Optiview, TMS and the INET.
* Loading and unloading of vehicles and utilising the correct equipment to do so.
* Performing a weekly stock check of packaging materials. Reporting any damaged packaging to the relevant people, for example PH1and your line Manager.
* Obtaining accurate weight and dimensions and recording this information in TMS.
* Ensure that the warehouse always remains clean and tidy – inside and out –.
* Replenishing dry ice and ensuring that clients/other WC offices are charged correctly for it.
* Replenishing gel packs correctly, paying attention to the packaging diagrams.
* Replenishing dry ice shipments.
* Reporting any shipments that arrive into the Warehouse that may have been damaged in transit.
* Ensuring the premises are secure, by keeping shutters in place and challenging anyone without a valid World Courier I.D or visitors pass.
* Keeping the fire exits clear of obstructions.
* Ensuring there is enough packaging in stock for clients,
* Book special trucking if Almac packaging does not fit into our vans & update job with charges.
* The fridge/freezers must be stocked daily. Keep walk in fridge/freezer and controlled ambient room stocked daily with gels/accus.
* Maintaining a record of all shipments on hold, ensuring they are all stored within the correct temperature parameters and communicating the list to other departments.
* Incident reporting.
* Communication of relevant information, weight discrepancies, concerns regarding packaging etc.
Requirements
* Able to follow procedures & instructions
* Able to provide relevant information on request
* Good communication skills – verbally & written
* Possess a full clean driver’s licence which must have been held for a minimum of two years.
