This is a senior role that offers the chance to lead major projects and shape outcomes within a dynamic, collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to lead and deliver some of the most exciting and pivotal projects in the water, energy and transport sectors. You will take on a leadership role with significant influence on project outcomes and team direction. If you have a passion for environmental excellence, strategic thinking, and mentoring others, we want to hear from you. We expect you to drive innovation and uphold AtkinsRéalis reputation for technical excellence. Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of complex environmental projects, including large‑scale Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and other statutory/non‑statutory reports from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Set project strategies and proactively manage risks to program delivery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams – work closely with project managers, engineers, planners and scientists (both in Ireland and the wider AtkinsRéalis network in the UK) to integrate inputs and achieve holistic project outcomes.
Manage project teams and establish excellent working relationships with sub‑consultants and partners.
Provide technical leadership and oversight – act as a technical authority on environmental deliverables: review and approve key reports (EIAR chapters, environmental assessments, etc.) to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice; champion quality, innovation and continuous improvement in our EIA processes.
Drive client engagement and stakeholder liaison – serve as a primary point of contact for clients and regulators on your projects, building trusted adviser relationships; liaise with stakeholders (clients, local authorities, statutory bodies, the public) to navigate approvals and represent AtkinsRéalis in consultations or hearings as needed.
Lead business development efforts – contribute to growing our business by identifying opportunities, leading or assisting in bid and proposal preparation for multidisciplinary projects; use your industry knowledge to craft compelling proposals and help secure new work, supporting the long‑term success of the practice.
Mentor and develop team members – inspire and guide our team, providing mentorship, technical guidance and support the professional growth of our staff; help build capability within the team and across the business and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture where everyone can thrive and excel.
