Project Cost Manager
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced project cost manager to assist in the smooth operation of our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for agreeing project budgets and managing all project costs.
* Reporting on the overall performance of the project.
* Monthly CVR and Accrual reporting on the project.
* Specific analysis on the preliminary's performance on the project.
* Detailed analysis and approval of outgoing sub-contractor and supplier payment.
* Understanding the respective obligations and responsibilities of the parties to the contracts and providing direction to site colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Attending and contributing to site start up meetings with site management
2. Attending and contributing to site meetings as required.
3. Attending and contributing to sub-contractor meetings as required.
4. Responsible for obtaining all collateral warranties from sub-contractors and making them aware from the outset of their obligations under the contract.
5. Ensuring relevant monthly reports are issued in the agreed format and within the timeframe agreed.
6. Responsible for managing overall costs on the project and any variations.
7. Responsible for procurement of all sub-contractor packages.
8. Responsible for overall managing of sub-contractor packages and signing off sub-contractor payments.
9. Responsible for preparation and submission of monthly valuations.
10. Responsible for managing the progress and project accounts of the project and preparation of cash flow forecasts.
11. Ensuring financial position of construction budgets is accurately reported and controlled effectively.
12. Implementing any Value engineering proposals.
13. Ongoing reviews of Subcontractor and supplier performance.
14. Responsible to the client, working with the design team & responsible for the sub-contractors.
15. Growing and maintaining relationships with all customers both internal and external.
