Overview
The purpose of this CNM II Role is pivotal in the delivery of compassionate, expert level care on children admitted to St Patricks Ward, which is a 12 bedded Medical Ward - Specialising in Neurology, Respiratory conditions and infectious diseases. This role blends clinical excellence with strategic leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and family-centered care.
The CNM II will assist in the safe, effective and efficient management of the department within allocated resources and undertake responsibility for the ward. To ensure the provision of a high standard of care to the children and their extended family is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the hospital. In carrying out these duties, confidentiality surrounding the child’s admission and treatment must be maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
The CNM II will assist in the safe, effective and efficient management of the department within allocated resources and undertake responsibility for the ward. Essential Criteria
* Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann)
* RCN with 5 years Post Graduate experience
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in an acute ward setting.
* Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
* Undertaken or give a commitment to undertake a relevant management course
